Mission

We work to strengthen people, policies, and institutions for the equity and justice for all people.

As prison consultants, we provide newly convicted criminals with advice on coping and surviving in the unfamiliar surroundings of prison. 

 

Our consultants are:

  • Proficient in prison policy and administration
  • Professional navigators of the legal system
  • Knowledgeable in areas of incarceration and re-entry

Criminal Defense Advocacy

We offer expert 1st hand lived experience to individuals and families dealing with misdemeanor and felony charges that have a potential jail sentence. As criminal defense advocates, we work with clients to help explain the confusing system, and get the best possible outcome for each person. We have established relationships with every prison in the state of CT to provide real-time answers that can only come from those who have successfully navigated the system. We work alongside attorneys and the clients legal team to help get charges lowered, sentences reduced, diversionary programs, and avoid prison and jail.

Prison Preparation

If an individual is facing prison, we work diligently to get our clients and their loved ones as prepared as possible for the next chapter. We’ve been there, and can provide answers to clients’ questions in the darkest hours. As consultants, we help people and their families prepare emotionally, financially, and physically for the unknowns of prison. We explain what you need/can bring, how to communicate with people on the outside, visitation, commissary, how to pass your time, medical appointments, programs on the inside, safety concerns, and answers to hundreds of other questions. We prepare our clients and stay in contact during their incarceration for ongoing support.

Meet Our Prison Consultants

We maintain contact with our clients through a 24/7 reachable phone line during their court proceedings, incarceration, and reentry. We also provide both a permanent mailing and email address for clients for communication.
